Your Furniture Deserves
a Second Life
We restore and reupholster treasured pieces with meticulous hand craftsmanship — so the furniture you love lasts for generations, not years.
About Cardenas Upholstery
A Family Tradition of Fine Upholstery in Austin
For years, Cardenas Upholstery has been the go-to destination for Austin homeowners and interior designers who refuse to settle for anything less than exceptional. We understand that the furniture you bring into your home carries more than aesthetic value — it carries memory, comfort, and character.
Whether it's a mid-century armchair inherited from a grandparent, a dining set worn from family dinners, or a statement sofa you want transformed, we approach every piece with the same dedication to detail and respect for the craft.

What We Do
Comprehensive Upholstery Services
From complete restorations to targeted repairs, we handle every aspect of furniture upholstery with care and precision.
Complete Reupholstery
Transform your furniture entirely — new foam, new fabric, renewed structure. We select from an extensive collection of premium fabrics to match your vision and lifestyle.
Repair & Restoration
Worn springs, damaged frames, torn stitching — we diagnose and repair the structural issues that make furniture unusable, extending its life for years to come.
Antique Furniture Restoration
Preserve the heritage of heirloom pieces. Our careful restoration techniques honor the original craftsmanship while bringing the piece back to full, functional beauty.
Residential Furniture
Sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, ottomans, headboards, and more. We upholster every type of residential piece, from everyday seating to statement furniture.
Automotive & Marine
Custom upholstery for classic cars, trucks, boats, and marine interiors. We work with vinyl, leather, and specialty materials built to withstand the elements.
Custom Fabric Consultation
Not sure which fabric is right? We guide you through hundreds of options — considering durability, aesthetics, and budget — so you make the perfect choice.
Our Philosophy
Craftsmanship That Shows in Every Stitch
At Cardenas Upholstery, we believe that true quality is felt before it's seen. The way a chair nestles into your living room. The smooth drape of fabric across a well-tensioned seat. The quiet confidence of springs that haven't sagged in decades.
We source premium foams, high-density webbing, and fabrics from the finest mills. Every staple, every tuck, every seam is placed with intention. This is not fast furniture — it's furniture built to be lived in, loved, and passed down.
